It all started when…

It was Fall of 2015… and four FootGolf aficionados in Miami didn't want to miss out on the first ever U.S. FootGolf National Championship in Chicago. The second ever FIFG World Cup was to be disputed in Argentina the next year and the 'Chi-town' tournament was a vital piece in the qualifying process. We didn't have the sweet ‘Away' and 'Home' polos we do now [available in our ‘Shop’ section], but we did what we could… We purchased some teal polos and sewed the MFGC crests onto them that our member Mariano had designed that same week

The response in Miami was fantastic: in the end, 12 players from the MIA flew to the windy and cold Chicago fall equipped with their turf shoes and soccer balls. The showing was so good that it planted the foundation for the Miami FootGolf Club we have in present day.

The MFGC now currently boasts the most international squad in the game: with seven players participating in World Cups.

Why play footgolf?

Young or old, in shape or not… FootGolf doesn't discriminate, and anyone, with the right amount of practice and effort, can find success. It is great exercise, fun and great to play with friends and family. You get all the perks of playing traditional golf, without the high price tags or having to lug a bag of clubs around with you. Both ex golfers and ex soccer players find advantages in FootGolf due to their old craft, but many people start without having experience in either.

FootGolf is an individual sport (although there are team competitions and formats), but the camaraderie found in it is unlike any other. When you get that Birdie or save Par, your scorecard mates will be right there celebrating with you.
